CardioConcepts develops medical content for use in educational programs. The content may be 'stand alone' and targeted for a specific user group or technology (e.g., RealPlayer) or it may be integrated into a complete learning program using the IDEA projector for online viewing. Included in the content development is the opportunity to customize a user interface for each project. Additionally, clients may choose to host the online version of the content or have CardioConcepts provide hosting services.
CardioConcepts can customize the IDEA software to meet a client's needs. New features may be added or modified, a custom architecture or interface may be built, or a new or existing technology may be integrated. IDEA is an excellent foundation for any entity wanting to work with medical content in a robust and dynamic manner.
CardioConcepts will license IDEA and its associated components (Maestro, Multimedia Database, or Projector) for use in educational programs that we develop. Additionally, clients may license the technology for use with their own content and educational interface. These will be nonexclusive, limited licenses, allowing for multiple licensing events while preventing the reuse of the technology in competitive products and companies. Individual elements in the IDEA multimedia database may also be provided with a nonexclusive limited license.
